Examination experience
Our team prides ourselves on running a thorough, caring, yet efficient schedule. We want to optimize your time spent with us so you can have your needs serviced and get back to your daily schedule. Dr Roya Habibi works hand-in-hand with her lead technician Hana Smith to complete your examination. Please be on time for your appointment to allow us adequate time to spend with you (and avoid any delay for clients following your appointment).
Pupil dilating drops
Trusting us with your eye care is an honor, and we take that seriously. It is likely that you will need to have dilating drops put in your eyes during your appointment to best evaluate your eye health. These drops usually blur your near vision and make you sensitive to light for approximately 4 - 6 hours afterwards. We provide sunglasses if you need them, but if you don’t feel comfortable driving, consider bringing someone to help you drive home.
Excellent contact lens fitting
Whether your needs are “basic” or “complicated,” Dr Roya Habibi is an expert at all levels of contact lens evaluation and fitting needs. To optimize your experience, please bring any previous records with current contact lenses parameters (power, base curve, diameter, brand). For soft contact lenses, simply bring a pair of your current lenses (in the original packaging). For custom gas permeable contact lenses (hard lenses), please request previous invoices if you want an exact replica of your current lenses.
Dry eye assessment at the Center for Eye Comfort
Our goal at Center for Eye Comfort is to understand why you are experiencing discomfort in your eyes and to determine the cause of your disease. At your dry eye consultation and assessment we begin with our state-of-the-art technology to help assess your individual concerns, diagnose the cause of your symptoms, and subsequently treat dry eye disease.
Changes in appointment time
If you realize you won’t be able to make your allocated appointment time, please call as soon as you know. We will be happy to reschedule you for a more suitable time. We have a 24-hour cancellation policy. Tardiness past 15 minutes will be considered an absence unless previously notified.
Referrals
For medical visits, some insurances require a referral from your current eye care provider or primary care doctor to have coverage for your visit. To ensure adequate time for assessments, we prefer you or your refering provider send a copy of your referral in advance.
